Incident Details
Cause of Death:Officer Clarence Snorden was shot and killed when he and his partner responded to a man who reported he had just killed someone.
Upon their arrival, Officer Snorden proceeded to the front of the residence and was shot at close range by the subject who was standing behind a front window.
Hearing the gunfire, his partner ran from the rear of the house when he was shot and seriously wounded, later losing his right eye. Officer Snorden was transported to General Hospital where he died about an hour later.
The intoxicated 37-year-old male suspect, who had not killed anyone before calling police, died by suicide.
Officer Snorden was survived by his expectant wife, 22-month-old son, parents, brother and two sisters.
