   Private First Class Ellsworth Cummings died from injuries he suffered the previous day after being involved in a single-vehicle accident at Camp Atterbury near Edinburgh.

   While attempting to conduct a traffic stop on a bus, he lost control of his motorcycle as he was overtaking it and crashed.

   He was taken to Wakeman Hospital Center on the military installation with a severe head injury where he died the following day.

   Private First Class Cummings, from Indianapolis, was attached to a military police battalion while serving with the 1560th Service Command Unit. He was single and survived by his parents, two sisters and paternal grandmother.
